The first of its kind in the US, this eco-friendly permanent supportive housing project for homeless veterans utilized modified, upcycled shipping containers that were transformed into fully functional, aesthetically pleasing residential units. This sustainable and energy efficient complex is comprised of 16 well-appointed residential units, one of which accommodates an on-site manager, and meeting rooms intended for individual and group counseling, veteran liaisons, and employment programs. Each living unit features 480 SF of living space. Since breaking ground, Potter’s Lane has been visited by people from around the globe and has been featured in over 140 articles and TV news stories, reaching audiences totaling over 111 million and counting.
