Our business is focused on solutions for each client’s specific needs and goals, including the client’s commitment to responsible management of environmental assets during all phases of their construction project. Del Amo encourages and supports cost-effective measures to build or retrofit buildings that are energy and resource efficient. We are experienced in helping our clients to achieve regulatory compliance and certification and in making design decisions that deliver sustainable buildings with long-term value.

Del Amo Construction has been a part of a number of LEED® certified projects, including Los Angeles/Watts Fire Station #65, which received the AIA Community Impact Award for contributing to sustainable design and construction in the Los Angeles community as well as Animo Justice Charter High School; Animo Ralph Bunche Charter High School Project, which was the first LEED® for Schools accredited high school in California and received a 2009 Los Angeles Architectural Award from the Los Angeles Business Council for exceptional contribution in the category of renovation.

Del Amo has completed the construction of Viewpoint School in Calabasas, California, which has achieved LEED® Silver compliance. We are exceptionally enthusiastic about our construction efforts in an important LEED® Platinum project for the California Institute of Technology Linde + Robinson Lab for Global Environmental Science in Pasadena.

As sustainable builders, we stay ahead of the latest developments – several key Del Amo professionals are recommitting themselves and the organization by pursuing the very latest 2009 LEED® accreditation, the benchmark for expertise in sustainable design and construction. Our staff also has the advantage of knowledge gained through daily hands-on experience with “green” materials, methods, technologies and systems that can reduce water and energy use, improve air quality, enhance illumination and reduce or prevent waste and pollution during construction and operation.

At Del Amo, we also support sustainable principles and practices in our own operations. We recently purchased several emissions vehicles for our field staff and have implemented recycling and energy saving programs throughout our facilities. These programs allow us to save money, as well as minimize our environmental footprint.

We believe that the construction industry can make a significant difference in creating healthy buildings and a healthier environment. Therefore, Del Amo continues to look for new ways to make our operations more eco-friendly and to encourage our employees to become educated in new and practical solutions for protecting and conserving our air, water, energy and land.
