LOS ANGELES/WATTS FIRESTATION #65
This is a LEED Certified, 2-story, 20,000-square-foot masonry and steel frame fire station facility. The project includes kitchen, dining, laundry, exercise, entertainment, office and dormitory spaces for the fire crews as well as a large fire apparatus bay and a paramedic apparatus bay. Site improvements include fueling facilities, emergency generator facilities and fire hose tower. The project received an AIA Community Impact Award for contributing to sustainable design and construction in the Los Angeles community.
