Sierra Canyon School
Upper School Campus
This type I, 4-story school building consists of 2-stories of structural steel over 2-stories of structural concrete and 1-level of parking below. The interior and exterior consist of metal stud framing, plaster and glazing. Parallax Associates designed a unique geometry to the school building that allows the building to follow the natural radius of the street and the building levels to follow the contour of the hill. The sophisticated building incorporates European perforated aluminum architectural screen, a first time product to ever be used in the west coast. This new facility is Phase I of III and includes: 3-levels of classrooms, a library, laboratories and administrative offices with a total building area of 93,792-square-foot and total site area of 214,887-square-foot. The following phases consist of an athletic building, performing arts and aquatics center.
